Over your shoulder or close at hand, these vintage glamour bags are quintessential for keeping your everyday necessities handy.

Please note: if you are using heavier weight Home Dec fabric, you do not need interfacing. Materials required for the handbag:

1/4 yard of the first exterior fabric for the top panels

3/8 yard of a coordinating exterior fabric for the main panels and handles

3/4 yard for the lining and pockets

1 yard of heavyweight sew-in interfacing

One 3/4" magnetic snap

1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread.

Materials required for the shoulder bag:

3/4 yard of the first exterior fabric for the top panels

5/8 yard of a coordinating exterior fabric for the main panels and straps

1 yard for the lining and pockets

2 yards of heavyweight sew-in interfacing

One 3/4" magnetic snap

1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread.

Tools needed: scissors, iron, ruler, chalk pencil or pencil, straight pins, masking tape and marker. Instructions and pattern pieces for a handbag and shoulder bag.

Handbag finished size is 11-1/4" wide x 11-1/4" tall (14-1/2" tall including the handles). Shoulder bag finished size is 14-3/4" wide x 16-1/2" tall (25-1/4" including the handles).
